The iconic CamelBak H.A.W.G. MTB backpack<\/strong> has undergone a complete redesign: custom Cordura RE\/COR\u2122 recycled fabric, PFAS-free DWR treatment, spacious and organized interior, fully adjustable torso length, and \u2014 for the first time in the industry \u2014 integrated RECCO technology, making the user locatable at any point during their adventure.<\/p>\n

Originally launched in 1996, the H.A.W.G. (Hauls A Lot of Water and Gear)<\/strong> has been fully revamped for the MTB 2025 Collection. The CamelBak Design and Development Team created the new version with a return to its roots in mind: a versatile backpack ready for any MTB challenge, whether in the mountains or on long rides.<\/p>\n

This is the world’s first MTB backpack to include RECCO Technology<\/a>. The H.A.W.G 20 comes with a RECCO reflector<\/strong> sewn into the backpack. RECCO Technology makes you locatable by rescue professionals worldwide in the unlikely event of an accident or if you get lost.<\/p>\n

Features of the New CamelBak H.A.W.G. 20<\/h2>\n

This 20-liter backpack is made from durable, sustainable Cordura RE\/COR<\/strong> fabric, custom-developed for CamelBak using recycled post-industrial waste. This new fabric is ultra-tough and ideal for MTB adventures on rugged terrain, combining performance and durability with sustainability<\/strong>. While the material is naturally water-resistant, CamelBak has enhanced it further with a PFAS-free DWR treatment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If the weather suddenly changes, the new CamelBak H.A.W.G. offers secure options to keep your valuables dry: the external hip belt pockets feature waterproof zippers<\/strong>. Additionally, this backpack has a large, easily accessible central pocket \u2014 with zippers on both sides \u2014 that is also waterproof. The waterproof lining on both sides includes an extra layer to keep the backpack\u2019s interior safe and dry.<\/p>\n

This unisex backpack has a fully adjustable torso length<\/strong> for a perfect fit for every user. This new feature is paired with a body-mapped back panel<\/strong> developed in collaboration with the University of Connecticut, designed to offer maximum back support and airflow during long rides. Perforated shoulder straps with sliding sternum strap adjustments and load stabilizing straps on the hip belt help keep the backpack’s weight close to the body and reduce sway during activity.<\/p>\n

The internal storage has been redesigned in every detail. In this new version, the CamelBak H.A.W.G. has fewer compartments but offers greater volume, better organization, and easier access. The 9 different pockets<\/strong> ensure space for all your essentials, from energy supplies to a mini pump, bike tools, first aid kit, pads, and more.<\/p>\n

Last but not least: the new CamelBak H.A.W.G. 20 is compatible with the CamelBak Impact Protector<\/a><\/strong> (sold separately). This CE 1621-2 Level 2 protection panel is one of the lightest and most flexible on the market: it absorbs up to 95% of impact in the event of a fall.<\/p>\n
