This traditional event held its first edition in 2001, making it the oldest festival of this segment in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, the event reaches its 19th edition and will take place from <strong>November 6 to 10 at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Rio Mountain Festival seeks national films for the 2024 edition<\/h2>\n<p>Although the film showcase features international productions, one of the goals of the event is to encourage the production of adventure sports, nature, and mountain culture films in Brazil. Short, medium, and feature-length films produced in digital video will be accepted, in the categories documentary, fiction, experimental, or animation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All submitted films will go through the festival\u2019s curatorship, which will select the best productions related to the following themes for screening: mountain sports, adventure, or expedition films; films that contribute to knowledge and environmental protection; mountain culture or outdoor lifestyle.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"caixa-verde\">\n<h3 style=\"margin-top:5px\">Discount for national film submissions<\/h3>\n<p>The Rio Mountain Festival production team is offering a <strong>50% discount coupon to encourage the submission of national films<\/strong> through the platform <a href=\"https:\/\/filmfreeway.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"FilmFreeway\" rel=\"noopener\">FilmFreeway<\/a>.
