Along the way, visitors discover viewpoints, waterfalls, natural pools, and a rich diversity of fauna and flora.<\/p>\n<p>The project involved the planning, structuring, and sustainable development of nature tourism in the city and took approximately six months to complete. In just one year, 135 new individual micro-entrepreneurs linked to tourism were registered, while the number of companies enrolled in CADASTUR jumped from 14 to more than 60. Among the most impacted sectors are gastronomy, accommodation, and guiding services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;When local entrepreneurs realize that a route is being structured, with access to information and an image bank, they get involved. I saw that happen very strongly in Trajano de Moraes&#8221;<\/strong>, highlights Paula Rasc\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>The trails and their attractions can be consulted directly on the <a title=\"Official app of Trajano de Moraes\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=br.com.trajanodemoraes.app&amp;hl=pt_BR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official destination app<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>A Volta das \u00c1guas de Rio Claro<\/h2>\n<p>Until recently, the trails of Rio Claro, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, were rarely visited due to a lack of signage and promotion.<\/p>\n<p>The situation began to change with the <strong>A Volta das \u00c1guas de Rio Claro project<\/strong>, launched in 2023. In August 2025, the first signposted sections were unveiled, along with the <a title=\"Website of A Volta das \u00c1guas de Rio Claro\" href=\"https:\/\/voltadasaguasderioclaro.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> and the <a title=\"Official app A Volta das \u00c1guas de Rio Claro\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=br.com.etrilhas.rioclaro&amp;hl=pt_BR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official destination app<\/a>, both customized from the eTrilhas platform.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;We are betting on ecotourism and adventure tourism to develop our municipality, generating jobs and income. Since we have very rich natural beauty, history, and culture, we developed the A Volta das \u00c1guas de Rio Claro project together with eTrilhas&#8221;<\/strong>, says Brindisi Biondi, Secretary of Economic Development, Culture, Tourism, Events, Sport, and Leisure of Rio Claro.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36480\" src=\"https:\/\/geartips.club\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/04\/volta-das-aguas-rio-claro-03.webp\" alt=\"Trail of A Volta das \u00c1guas de Rio Claro\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/geartips.club\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/04\/volta-das-aguas-rio-claro-03.webp 1024w, https:\/\/geartips.club\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/04\/volta-das-aguas-rio-claro-03-300x200.webp 300w, https:\/\/geartips.club\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/04\/volta-das-aguas-rio-claro-03-768x512.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The long-distance trail connects the municipality&#8217;s five districts \u2014 Rio Claro (headquarters), L\u00eddice, Passa Tr\u00eas, S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Marcos, and Getul\u00e2ndia \u2014 as well as the sub-districts Pouso Seco and Fazenda da Grama, totaling approximately 311 km. There are four modes: cycle tourism, hiking, horseback riding, and, in the future, canoeing on the Represa de Ribeir\u00e3o das Lajes, currently under validation.<\/p>\n<p>Along the route, visitors pass through areas such as the Parque Arqueol\u00f3gico e Ambiental de S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Marcos, historic farmhouses, and sections linked to the Caminho do Ouro and the coffee era, as well as the Igreja da Fazenda da Grama.<\/p>\n<p>Natural highlights include the Pedra do Bispo, the municipality&#8217;s highest point; the Guaran\u00e1 Quente region, known for its low temperatures (despite the name); the Cachoeira das Tr\u00eas Quedas; the Cachoeira da Borboleta; as well as old railway structures such as the Chuveir\u00e3o and historic tunnels. The trail also passes through a quilombola community, deepening the connection with local culture.<\/p>\n<p>According to the secretary, the partnership with eTrilhas was essential to making the project viable:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;No project gets off the ground without the support of a qualified company. We validated the routes, adapted them to the local reality, divided them into sections, classified them according to ABNT standards, and delivered all the structured content within the app and the website.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The future goal is to expand the long-distance trail, making the most of the municipality&#8217;s territorial potential and establishing Rio Claro as a reference destination for ecotourism.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-vaumhMFYRY?si=8p54Fxq9IvRR-KlV\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2>Benefits for cities and visitors<\/h2>\n<p>For those visiting these destinations, the experience becomes safer and more autonomous. The structuring of trails reduces risks and makes navigation easier, especially with the use of technologies such as offline maps and up-to-date information.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, access to interpretive content broadens understanding of the territory, its biodiversity, history, and culture. Another differentiator lies in the connection with the local entrepreneurial network, including guides, services, gastronomy, and accommodation.<\/p>\n<p>For the cities, among the main benefits is the generation of local income through the activation of services such as guiding, food, lodging, and commerce.
