If you practice or work professionally in outdoor activities, you’ve certainly already used eTrilhas. The app gathers information about trails throughout Brazil, with photos of the main attractions, including some trails from the Rede Brasileira de Trilhas.
The news is that Gear Tips and the company – which also offers consulting services – are now together on a noble mission: to expand the concept of minimum environmental impact, reaching more transformative agents throughout Brazil.
The first initiative of the partnership will be the Leave No Trace lecture, taught by Bruno Negreiros, Social and Environmental Responsibility Coordinator at Gear Tips, during the meeting promoted by the Transforma Ecoturismo Project, on November 25th. The project is an initiative of Sebrae RJ (Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service of Rio de Janeiro) and has the technical consulting of Paula Rascão, founding partner of eTrilhas.

In addition to the union focused on training professionals who work in outdoor activities, those who follow Gear Tips and eTrilhas will have access to relevant content to stay always updated.
“We understand that the approach with Gear Tips is an opportunity to bring visibility to both in the digital environment and, through the Programa CAPACITAR, offer our clients the chance to expand the training of their audience,” explains Paula Rascão.

For Pedro Lacaz Amaral, founder of Gear Tips, the partnership with eTrilhas represents an opportunity to expand awareness about environmental conservation among all who experience outdoor spaces.
“We believe that to promote sustainable nature tourism it is essential to invest in training and information – and both Gear Tips and eTrilhas share the purpose of reconnecting people to the environment in a conscious way,” highlights Pedro.
eTrilhas Platform
The eTrilhas Platform is composed of an app, a website, and an administrative system, offering an integrated solution to improve the management of natural areas and stimulate public engagement.
In the eTrilhas App, you can check in and evaluate the trails you visit – helping other users and trail managers in maintaining the route -, navigate while walking the trail, create alerts about the presence of litter, poor signage, among others.
The company also operates in the consulting area, performing mapping, structuring, signage of trails and natural attractions, fostering nature tourism. Additionally, it offers licensing of the eTrilhas Platform for parks, destinations and long-distance trails, develops technological and interactive projects aimed at promoting tourism and environmental conservation, and produces content about natural attractions throughout the country.
