“We at Deuter are proud to introduce our new Speed Lite Pro line. The exceptional features of our Speed Lite Pro models can be best described in three words: ‘super lightweight, sustainable, and optimized comfort.’ Thanks to our new LiteAir back system, they not only provide better ventilation but also an optimized weight distribution and a weight reduction of about 10%. Additionally, other features have been incorporated to allow easy access to essentials, so you can save energy and fully enjoy the outdoors.” Johannes Braun, deuter Product Manager
ISPO Award 2024
The ISPO 2024 judges highlighted improvements over previous models, weight reduction, the use of sustainable materials, and better ventilation as key factors that earned the ISPO 2024 Award for the Speed Lite Pro.
The new Deuter Speed Lite Pro is even lighter
The new Deuter Speed Lite Pro surpasses even previous models in the series in terms of lightness. The new models were designed with the “less is more” mindset. The new LiteAir back panel is extremely lightweight and minimalist. It helped reduce the weight of the smallest model, the Speed Lite Pro 17 SL (women’s version), to just 610 grams, and the Speed Lite Pro 19 (regular) to 630 grams. This weight reduction was also achieved through the use of lighter yet durable materials, along with a simplified construction and features. The LiteAir system offers effective ventilation and improved load transfer.

The ergonomic, vest-style, perforated shoulder straps provide a snug, secure fit with excellent ventilation. Flexible hip belts and stabilizer straps effectively distribute the load between the hips and shoulders, reducing strain on the back and shoulder muscles.
Despite its weight-focused construction, the Speed Lite Pro still includes a range of smart features, such as pockets on the straps and hip belts. These are perfect for storing your phone, keys, water bottles, or energy bars—keeping them within easy reach.
