When we talk about cereal bars in Brazil, it’s almost impossible not to think of Nutry. Since the late 1990s, the brand has been a constant presence in the backpacks and lunch boxes of those seeking practicality with nutrition — and, in my case, it was also part of many adventures.
In 1998, I was already taking Nutry bars on my hikes and climbs. They were also part of the snack kits we offered to clients of PAREDE – Esportes de Montanha, a mountaineering tourism and training company I co-founded with my partner and friend Kiko Araújo. They were practical, lightweight, tasty, and reliable — exactly what you expect from a snack for outdoor activities. The banana and coconut bars were my favorites.
Seeing the evolution of Nutry over the decades is truly inspiring. The pioneering cereal bar brand continues to innovate, now focusing on consumers who seek performance, balance, and convenience.
Above-average growth in the protein segment
The Brazilian protein bar market continues to expand rapidly. According to Radar Scanntech, the sector grew 19.9% in value between January and May 2025 compared to the same period the previous year.
However, Nutry achieved an even more impressive result: 25.3% growth in value — above the category average — consolidating its market share and reinforcing its historical leadership in nutritious snacks.

New flavors in the Crispy Protein line
Always attentive to consumer trends and tastes, Nutry has expanded the Crispy Protein line, which already included Cookies & Cream, Milk Chocolate, and Peanut Butter, now adding two new flavors:
- Coconut Bonbon
- Hazelnut Truffle
Designed for those seeking more energy and performance in their daily routine, the Crispy Protein line combines 9 g of protein per bar, a light and crunchy texture, and full chocolate coating, blending amazing flavor and nutritional balance.
The bars are formulated with soy protein and whey protein, providing greater satiety and helping with appetite control between meals, as explained by nutritionist Marina Piltz, who collaborates with Nutrimental’s product development team:
“The Crispy bars are ideal for anyone seeking a quick source of protein, whether before or after workouts, or as a snack between meals. They help with muscle recovery and lean mass maintenance while providing energy throughout the day.”
To promote the launch, the brand presents the campaign “Add a Crispy to your routine”, inviting consumers to add more flavor and energy to their day, as described by Jocylene Wzorek, Nutry’s marketing manager: “We want to show that it’s possible to have a delicious, balanced, and functional snack — ideal for multiple moments of the day.”

Nutry Tube Protein: crunchiness, creaminess, and innovation
Expanding its protein lineup, Nutry has also launched the Nutry Tube Protein, a protein wafer with a creamy filling and 8.4g of protein per serving, with no added sugar.
Available in four flavors — Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Strawberry, and Paçoca —, the product delivers a new sensory experience, combining crunchiness and creaminess in an innovative and convenient format. “The protein snack market keeps growing, driven by consumers who seek both flavor and functionality in a single product. Nutry is attuned to this demand and continues to innovate with new formats and textures, offering products that combine wellness and pleasure,” says Débora Schafer, Head BU Consumidor Nacional.

A complete portfolio for different profiles
With the new Crispy Protein flavors, the launch of Tube Protein, and the well-established Nutry Whey line, the brand now offers a portfolio of 12 products aimed at the protein-focused audience, covering various moments and needs throughout the day:

A brand that nourishes generations
Nutry’s story begins in 1984, when the navigator Amir Klink teamed up with the Nutrimental team to develop his meals for the Atlantic Ocean crossing.
This experience inspired the creation of the first cereal bar in Brazil, officially launched in 1994, as part of a sustainable development project that used Amazonian ingredients. Since then, the brand has built a path defined by innovation and purpose, strengthened in 2024 through its partnership with the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) — becoming the Official Bar of Team Brazil.
With 57 years of history and two factories in the country, Nutrimental continues to invest in research, technology, and wellness, exporting its products to 30 countries across Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
From past to future
For those who hiked the trails of the 1990s, seeing a brand like Nutry reinvent itself feels almost nostalgic. From a simple cereal bar to high-performance protein lines, it remains true to its essence: to nourish the body, mind, and movement — with practicality, flavor, and purpose.
